DigiTimes – The Official Newsletter of the DigiByte Awareness Team (DGBAT)

Volume 1 Issue #3 September 2018

H ello DigiByte Community!

Time to reconnect with DGBAT through our community newsletter. Here, you will find updates on our activities, news from the DigiByte Foundation, and from the DigiByte core team for the month of August.

To start off, DigiByte released an updated version of our blockchain; DGB Core v6.16.4 at the end of August. All mining pools, exchanges, infrastructure providers and full node users are encouraged to upgrade as soon as possible at Now would be a good time to start mining, as there will be no fees (yup, 0%) on the DigiHash mining pool till the end of September. Congratulations, from us, to us!

While August was a relatively quiet month (summer holidays anyone?), we at DGBAT have still been on our A-Game. Exciting news for all the online shoppers among us; DGB was added to the Bitcoin Superstore platform this month, and can now be used in transactions at over 200,000 online retailers worldwide!

@JDevonC secured an early listing with a new exchange Xera, and we are pleased to share that DGB is also available for trading on Cointree and Satowallet. We are working tirelessly to promote Digi-ID implementation. This month, the team has encouraged Digi-ID implementation by, with Antum-ID implementing as well, and others soon to follow. We are also working on a Digi-ID plug-in for WordPress.

The DGB developer team announced eleven developer bounties to upgrade and improve the DGB blockchain. Want to know how to win 150,000 DGB for bringing colored coins to DGB? Check out Josiah’s post on Medium, for more information.

DGBAT also has an ongoing partnership with Crypto Bantam to provide our community with DGB paraphernalia. Any time you shop with DGBAT referral links, the general fund will be credited with 10-50% of the sales price, depending on the specific items. Get your DGB gear and support DGBAT at the same time. We call that a win-win situation! Here are the links:

We are putting the finishing touches on our new DGBAT website, which will be a one-stop shop for all outreach, marketing and educational materials. We will keep you posted when we launch!

As we all know DGBAT is purely community-driven, with community members donating time and money for outreach and awareness campaigns. DGBAT has some exciting initiatives that we will soon share with the community. We remain confident that we can count on your support in financing these initiatives, while we maintain the highest standards of accountability and transparency. Please consider donating to the general fund, and please do so only through official sources. Beware of scammers posting fake DGBAT wallet addresses and sending private funding requests to your inbox. We have created a new, multi-signature wallet for security reasons and to prevent a single point of failure. Please see below
