Volume 1 Issue #5
October 2018
Hello DigiByte Community!
Time to reconnect with DGBAT through our community newsletter. Here, you will find updates on our activities, news from the DigiByte Foundation, and from the DigiByte core team for the month of September.
Updates
We are excited to share two new applications with the DigiByte community. DigiDigger is an on-chain game developed on the DigiByte blockchain and played with DigiByte. It was designed as a fundraiser for DGBAT by DGBAT member @mctrivia so 5% of entry price goes to the DGBAT general fund. If you want to dig into the code, you can check out his github or skip straight to the fun and play on the DGBAT website!

The second application is DigiCafe, a DigiByte point-of-sale currently available as a progressive web application. This means merchants can accept DGB as a means of payment using mobile devices they already own! Zero transaction fees besides the DigiByte network fees serves as the cherry on top of the cake! Head over to https://www.digibytecafe.com/ to learn more.
Community volunteers published a website dedicated to DigiByte wallets this month. DigiByte Wallets (https://digibytewallets.com/) is a website that provides both official and third party wallets for different operating systems; mobile, desktop and web interfaces. Also available in Turkish! Don’t be salty, if you want it available in your language, join DigiTranslate (t.me/Digitranslate) to help translate!
October was a busy month for exchange listings, and we are thrilled to share that DigiByte is now available on the following exchanges:
Lescovex – https://lescovex.com/

Artus Turba – https://www.artisturba.com/ (South African Rand/DGB pairing!)

Funding
DGBAT officially launched our 2018 Q3-2019 Q1 Fundraising campaign! We need your support to expand our reach in promoting DigiByte. DGBAT is fully driven by community members and is self-funded. Unfortunately that means the size of our operations is limited to funds we are able to personally contribute and donations from the DigiByte community. For more information on our fundraising drive, see here.
The current balance of our general fund is 123,238 DGB as of November 9, 2018. Thank you to all those who have generously given so far. For full disclosure, please see:
